Rob Becker’s extremely popular show “Defending the Caveman”, translated and adapted into Afrikaans as “Groet die Grotman” will be making its debut appearance at Emerald Resort & Casino.
The show “Groet die Grotman”, directed by Sandra Prinsloo, performed by Hannes Muller and translated in Afrikaans by Koos Kombuis, will be performed at Emerald Resort & Casino on Friday, 3 October and Saturday, 4 October at 20h00. The show explores the differences between men and women in a side-splittingly hilarious manner and how those differences cause the sexes to misunderstand each other completely.
“We are looking forward to seeing this production in the Vaal,” says Marli Wolmarans, Media and PR Manager at Emerald Resort & Casino. “This one-man show has been performed over the last 20 years in sold out theatres across the country.
The show will take place in our hotel conference room Kilimanjaro.”
According to director Sandra Prinsloo, the show has been given its own South African interpretation, but has kept the essence of Rob Becker’s original.
Groet die Grotman recently achieved an Afrikaans theatre record after celebrating its 900th performance since its opening show in 2005.
